Step into the groovy Time Machine and travel back into the funky era of disco balls and bell bottoms! CHCS is hosting the ultimate 1970s themed bowling event at Chicago’s iconic bowling alley, Timber Lanes!
Dress code: 1970s themed! Anything from jumpsuits to bell bottoms to dagger collars to novelty prints are encouraged!

Transportation:
Accessible by Brown Line, 80 bus line, metered street parking

Timberlanes History:
Timber Lanes originally opened in 1945 as a way to draw in more people to the building’s bar.
During the Prohibition era, it is said that the building was used to smuggle beer. Below the bowling alley’s wood floors, there is a dark ‘dungeon’ with a former cooler room and four chutes for empty bottles.
In the mid 20th century, there were 110-plus alleys across the city, while now Timberlanes is one of a few alleys on the northside. Join us in a fun day of bowling with a side of disco!
